Statewide Outreach
Bringing stroke education, resources, and connection to communities across Nebraska
Stroke affects people in every part of our state, but access to education, rehabilitation, support, and community resources can look very different depending on where someone lives.
NSA’s Statewide Outreach work is focused on helping close those gaps.
We build relationships with hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation providers, community organizations, support groups, local leaders, and individuals across Nebraska so more people can access reliable stroke information and meaningful support close to home.
Our outreach may include:
- Community stroke education and B.E. F.A.S.T. awareness
- Presentations for hospitals, senior communities, workplaces, schools, and civic groups
- Connecting survivors and caregivers with local resources
- Building relationships with healthcare and rehabilitation professionals
- Supporting local stroke groups and community programs
- Participating in health fairs, community events, and awareness campaigns
- Identifying areas where stroke resources or support may be limited
- Helping communities connect with NSA programs and statewide resources
Nebraska’s stroke community extends far beyond our largest cities.
People in rural and smaller communities may face longer travel distances, fewer rehabilitation options, limited support groups, and fewer opportunities to connect with others who understand life after stroke.
That is why NSA is intentionally working to build a stronger presence across the entire state.
Our goal is not to recreate the same program everywhere. It is to listen to each community, understand what is already working, and help strengthen the resources and connections that are needed locally.

Community Campaigns & Partnerships
Some of the most meaningful ways to support stroke awareness begin right in the community.
NSA partners with businesses, artists, healthcare organizations, schools, civic groups, volunteers, and individuals to create campaigns and events that support our mission in creative ways.
Partnerships may include:
- Hosting a fundraiser or awareness event
- Donating a portion of sales or event proceeds
- Creating artwork, merchandise, or a special product that benefits NSA
- Sponsoring an NSA program or community event
- Helping share B.E. F.A.S.T. stroke education
- Collaborating on outreach, education, or survivor support
- Bringing us a completely new idea
