Recovery Looks Different for Everyone
Stroke can affect movement, speech, thinking, vision, energy, emotions, and other parts of everyday life. What someone needs during recovery depends on the area of the brain affected, the severity of the stroke, their health, their support system, and many other factors.
Progress may not always happen in a straight line. Good days and difficult days can both be part of recovery.
The important thing is to keep asking questions, stay connected with your healthcare team, and know where to turn when you need additional support.
