Connecting every stage of stroke care since 2006
Founded in 2006, the Lincoln Stroke Partnership was established as local medical centers strengthened their stroke programs and achieved formal stroke center certifications.
From the beginning, the goal was to bring together the professionals and organizations involved at every stage of stroke care — from the moment 911 is called through emergency treatment, hospitalization, rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term community support.
Today, LSP continues to connect clinicians, hospital professionals, rehabilitation providers, first responders, community organizations, and stroke advocates so that the different parts of the stroke journey are better connected.
Our Mission
The mission of the Lincoln Stroke Partnership is to bring together professionals from across the full continuum of stroke care to strengthen collaboration, education, and support for people affected by stroke.
LSP creates a place for professionals from different disciplines and stages of care to build relationships, share knowledge, identify gaps, and better understand what happens before and after their part of the stroke journey.
Building on a Strong Foundation
As that work continues to grow, LSP is now connected more closely with the Nebraska Stroke Association, creating a natural home for the partnership while preserving the collaboration and identity that have made it successful.
It also gives the work happening in Lincoln a stronger bridge to the broader statewide stroke system — helping good ideas, resources, and partnerships extend beyond a single organization or community.
