Caregivers ... Not As Easy As You Might Think!

But We Can Help...

What is a Caregiver?
A Caregiver is a person who cares for someone who has a long-term or lifelong physical or psychological challenge ... lie a stroke.  If your loved one cannot be left alone due to their current condition, they need a Caregiver.  Caregiving can occur in many different ways and places depending on the needs of Caregiver as well as the person they are caring for.

Getting Help
Having your loved one attend one of the many programs available can greatly help you as a Caregiver.  Caregiving is based on your individual needs and what is available in your area.  One example is the Nebraska Respite Network.

The Nebraska State Stroke Association can provide you with a resource of Caregiver Providers, Long-Term Care Facilities and Day Car or Child Care resources in your area.  You can also select a neighbor, friend, or relative to be your provider.
