Our Programs
Come Back Club - is a support group for stroke survivors, family members, and other concerned persons. Meetings include educational and social events that are designed to help members learn ways to maximize the quality of life after stroke.
Peer Visitation Program - is offered in both Lincoln and Omaha, the Peer Visitation Program is designed to give hope and encouragements to new stroke survivors and their families. Trained, dedicated stroke survivors and caregivers share their personal experiences in dealing with strokes, successfully demonstrating the steps they took to rebuild their lives.
Resource Library - the Nebraska State Stroke Association has a large library of books and videos about stroke. All materials are available for checkout.
Speakerls Bureau - Strokes can be prevented. The Nebraska State Stroke Association provides educational programs that show listeners how to reduce their own risk of stroke, learn to recognize the warning signs of stroke in others and what to do when they see them. Programs also provide useful information in how to maximize the quality of life for stroke survivors and their family. Designed for any size group, the programs are free of charge.
Scholarship Program - In partnership with Orthotic and Prosthetic Solutions the Nebraska State Stroke Association offers twelve annual care scholarships for stroke survivors that have a demonstrated need for post-stroke care.
"Strike Out Stroke" Newsletter - is published three times a year. The Nebraska State Stroke Association's newsletter provides stories about stroke survivors, on information on prevention, recovery, and living with a stroke.
